State of the North West

Curious Minds commissioned a report into the needs, barriers and potential in connecting children and young people, schools and communities with arts and culture.

They write:

People in the North West are living, learning and working in a period of great economic and social change, so rather than focusing on what has been offered in the past, we set out to gather a picture of the provision planned for 2012/13. This report offers a perspective of the current context as we’re able to interpret it at this time. A snapshot in time of the North West in 2012 – showing the ‘State of the Region’.
Also, over three months in early 2012 Curious Minds talked to ten groups of young people across the North West about their experiences of arts and culture. The feedback from these groups added an essential part to their 'State of the Region' consultation. The following film captures those groups and their 'Curious Voices.'
