ROSIE GARLAND: Winner of the Dada Award for Performance Artist of the Year and proud owner of an Erotic Oscar for Solo Performer, she has won both the Diva Award for Solo Performer, and the Lambda Short Story Award.

Rosie has an eclectic writing and performance history, ranging from singing in 80s Goth band The March Violets, to her current incarnation as Rosie Lugosi the Vampire Queen. She has four solo collections of poetry: Hell and Eden, Coming Out At Night, Creatures of the Night and the latest, Things I Did While I was Dead, which is available from Flapjack Press. Her award-winning short stories, poems and essays have been widely anthologised. Mapping the Interior, her first novel, is currently with an agent.

ADAM LOWE: Adam is currently representing Yorkshire in the Olympics '12 Poets for 2012' project. In 2011, he was a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award in Best New Writing. In 2009 he received four Lambda Award nominations, in both poetry and prose, and three British Fantasy Award nominations for works that he published. He now writes for Bent, the UK's largest free national monthly magazine for the LGBT community.

BANG SAID THE GUN: If underpants, sex, gravy and Keith Moon giving the Queen Mother drumming lessons are your thing, then this could be the verbal romp you’ve been waiting for.

Bang Said The Gun in London is considered one of the best poetry nights in the country and has recently been reaching over 4 million viewers on Channel 4’s Random Acts.

Kieren King and Benny-jo Zahl are repeating this winning formula with Manchester’s first weekly poetry night. The night will celebrate the best in local and national poets as well as offering audience members the chance to compete for the coveted **Golden Gun prize** in the Top Banana Open Mic.

Each week's Golden Gun prize winner is offered a guest set at a future Bang Said The Gun: Manchester!

First come, first on open mic so get down early if you wanna be on. Or, just come join the crowd to listen and cheer.
